Long Lost Trip to Okemo, Vermont
This past fall a group of us took a trip to Okemo, Vermont. The Okemo Mountain Resort is simply amazing!! We arrived just before peak fall colors and it was absolutely beautiful. I loved the wild apple trees, they made the perfect snack after a day of exploring the mountains. My favorite shot was when we were driving past a lake that was so clear it mirrored everything...we immediately pulled over and I snapped away! It was a great trip and would love to go back during ski season!! Here are a few of my favs :)

A trip to Washington and an old Canon camera
Today is my Grandma's birthday so I decided to post some photos from a recent trip to visit her. Washington was beautiful and the weather was amazing, 60 degrees and sunny every day! My grandma brought me blueberry pick'n because the weather was perfect for it. She had all sorts of stories from when she went pick'n in the past but for me it was my first time. We spent the rest of the trip sharing stories and talking about life. It is comforting to know even though miles apart, we are still so much alike. We share a love for snacks, specifically cheese, olives and pickled well...anything!! One of my favorite experiences was finding out my grandma also loved and pursued photography at a point in her life. I was so excited when I found her old Canon snuggled up on a shelf in the basement. I held it in my hands with a huge smile on my face, a treasure that she just handed down to me. Before the end of the trip I squeezed in a few other great places like Snoqualmie Falls, Chateau St. Michelle and the Red Hook Brewery. All were so much fun!! It was an amazing trip, but way too short! Can't wait for my next visit- until then Happy Birthday Grandma!!!!

The beach for the first time
My Niece just visited from Wisconsin and while she was here she took her first steps into the Atlantic! Although she has been to beaches around the great lakes this was the first salt water experience. She really enjoyed jumping into the waves and I loved capturing every second of it!! Here are some photos from the beach and the rest of the trip :)

Happy Birthday Ben!
For my husband's 30th birthday we drove down to Key West...One of the great things about living in Miami is that the Key's are only a couple hours away!! We stayed at The Bottle Inn which is close enough for you to walk to Duval Street but not so close that the sound keeps you up at night. Dennis was an amazing host and even had a bottle of champagne waiting for us when we arrived :) We LOVE the Bottle Inn, I actually mentioned it to a bride for a wedding I am photographing next year and they decided to book the entire place! Our favorite place to eat while we are down there is Willie T's. They have great food, music and the prices are fantastic!! We had an amazing time and can't wait to go back April 2010! I love you Ben!

Islamorada Fish Company and Pierre's
After photographing a wedding in Homestead, FL my husband and I took a spontaneous trip down to the Keys. We ate at one of my favorite restaurants, Islamorada Fish Company and then took naps on the front porch of Pierre's. Before the day ended we watched nurse sharks and huge tarpon snack on remains of freshly fillet fish. The perfect afternoon :)

An Orchid with an Attitude Dude
So, I kept insisting that this orchid was reminding me of someone...and sure enough I have found it just Google the name "Droopy"! Ha-ha
